MANAUS – An earthquake of 7.2 magnitude struck the region of Peru and Bolivia, on the morning of Thursday, 26, and was felt by residents of Porto Velho (RO) and Manaus (AM). Some buildings in the capitals had to be evacuated because of the tremor, such as the Court of Justice of Rondônia (TJ-RO) and the Court of Justice of Amazonas (TJ-AM). The servers rushed to the streets and, in the capital of Amazonas, some were released by the agency to complete their workday at home.
On Twitter, servers TJ-AM commented on the shake and release:
In a statement, the TJ-AM said that, because of what happened in the building located in the neighborhood Aleixo, south of Manaus, the presidency determined that the forensic activity in the complex, which includes the court building, the Administrative Annex and School of Server Improvement Court of Amazonas (EASTJAM), be completed in home office.
The service to parties, lawyers and the general public is maintained through the Virtual Counter. Also according to the court, as a precaution, the team from the Infrastructure Department of the TJ-AM was called for relevant assessments, along with the Civil Defense and the Fire Department.
