MANAUS (AM) – Accustomed to use your portal and social networks to make attacks, always aiming at self-interest, the owner of the portal CM7, Cileide Moussallem, was forced by the Court of Amazonas (TJAM) to delete offensive publications against the former first lady of Manaus Elisabeth Valeiko Ribeiro. In the decision of Judge Ida Maria Costa de Andrade, publications extrapolate the freedom of expression, with content that infringes the dignity of the person.
Last Friday, 11, the court determined, in injunction, to be given five days to delete the materials and publications on social networks against Elisabeth Valeiko, under penalty of a fine of R$ 1,000 per day. The owner of the portal CM7 must also refrain from publishing new offensive materials that affect the image and honor of the plaintiff, and is subject to a fine of R$ 1,000 per publication.
According to Elisabeth’s lawyer, Dr. Rodrigo Fernando de Almeida Oliveira, the defendant – owner of the portal CM7 – may also face criminal charges and may even be arrested, in case she insists in false and slanderous publications aiming at damaging the plaintiff’s image.
“Besides increasing the amount of the fine, the judge may adopt other measures, including the suspension or paralyzation of the activities of the portal, or even, configure a crime of disobedience to the judicial order, which would lead to a criminal process”, explained the lawyer.
