CENARIUM’s photographer participates in an exhibition about the Amazon in Santa Catarina

MANAUS – With an updated edition, the exhibition “Amazônia Mundi” arrived at Balneário Camboriú (SC) and has unprecedented installations about the Amazon, its culture and biodiversity. CENARIUM’s photographer, Ricardo Oliveira, is one of the artists who are participating in the event. His works have already been published in countries like the United States, Mexico, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.

According to photographer Ricardo Oliveira, this is the second time he participates in the event. “It is always very gratifying to be able to show Brazil and the world what the Amazon really is, through photographs. I participated the first time in 2013 and it was already an incredible opportunity to show my work and to show even more the cultural diversity and biodiversity of the Amazon”, said the professional.

In Brazil, the exhibition has already been in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais. The launch of the event took place last Saturday, the 8th, but it is available all week long. The cultural show takes photos from renowned professionals connected to the Amazon nature, such as Araquem Alcântara, Ricardo Oliveira, Fábio Colombini, Maurício de Paiva, and Oliviero Pluviano.

Event

The exhibition is installed at the Sala Amazonas Parques & Resorts, at the avenue Normando Tedesco, corner with 4300 street, in Barra Sul. Tickets can be purchased for R$ 40 (full price) and R$ 20 (half price) for students and children up to 12 years old. It is worth mentioning that during Mondays, the visitation in the space is free, but only by appointment through the site penha.amazonfunparks.com.

According to the artistic curator of the show, Anna Claudia Agazzi Migotto, for the Página 3 portal, the objective of the exhibition is to present the richness of the national heritage that is the Amazon. “Where conservation impacts various sectors of society and the global economy, in addition to raising environmental awareness and conscious consumption”, explains Anna.

With this, the exhibition brings the results of more than 20 years of studies, with nine publications in five languages. the exhibition has collections from research institutes and non-governmental organizations, such as: General Organization of Bilingual Ticuna Teachers (OGPTB), Socio-environmental Institute (ISA), National Institute for Space Research (Inpe), National Institute for Amazon Research (Inpa), Emílio Goeldi Museum of Para and Peabiru Institute. It is also sponsored by Amazon Fun Parks, which also gains space in the event.

Theme park

Besides the “Amazônia Mundi” exhibition, visitors will be able to learn more about the thematic space that will be installed in the city of Penha, Santa Catarina. The construction of the newest park “Amazon Fun Parks” has already started and is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2024. The place will have an area of 90 thousand square meters and will bring the architecture with the Amazon theme, besides involving environmental protection and social responsibility. There will be 699 apartments, 19 thousand square meters of commercial areas, and attractions involving art, sports, and ecology.
