At a press conference held on Wednesday night, the superintendent of the Federal Police of Amazonas (PF-AM), Eduardo Fontes said that investigations are still ongoing and new arrests should be made.

“We have to say that now our investigation reaches another stage. Last night the first person arrested in this case, known as pelado, voluntarily decided to confess to the criminal practice (…) we went to the place where he had buried the bodies and where he had hidden the boats”. told the superintendent.

According to Eduardo, the place where the crimes occurred is considered difficult to access and it was only possible to find the exact location where the remains were found because of the confession. “We wouldn’t have been able to reach this location if we didn’t have the confession. It took more than 25 minutes of walking to go through the woods”, said the delegate.

According to the report of the delegate of the Civil Police of Amazonas, Guilherme Torres, the boat where the victims were was sunk, but the police have already identified the place and will make the rescue on Thursday, 16.
