MANAUS (AM) – The Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM) recorded a significant increase in revenue during the first half of the past five years. In 2025, the figure reached R$ 110.80 billion, 123.8% higher than in 2020, when it totaled R$ 46.49 billion. The data comes from the Superintendence of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (Suframa).

The numbers show continuous progress: in addition to 2020 (when the analyzed period was January to August), in 2021 revenue rose to R$ 74.12 billion; in 2022, it reached R$ 83.93 billion; in 2023, the figure was R$ 86.51 billion; and in 2024, it totaled R$ 97.13 billion.

For Suframa’s superintendent, Bosco Saraiva, the current situation of the hub is “encouraging” and also driven by legal certainty ensured by initiatives such as the Tax Reform.

“We are in clear growth. Despite all the crises, we are consolidated as an industrial hub with a highly skilled workforce and with the legal security that throughout the history of the Manaus Free Trade Zone we lacked, but which has now been resolved permanently with the extension, until 2073, of our comparative advantages and also with the Tax Reform,” declared Bosco Saraiva.

Job openings

Another positive result for PIM was in employment. In June 2025, 131,464 direct workers were employed, including permanent, temporary, and outsourced positions, representing growth of 6.82% compared to June 2024 (123,073 workers) and 0.77% compared to May this year (130,462 workers).

For the Amazonas State Secretariat of Development, Science, Technology and Innovation (Sedecti), Serafim Corrêa, the record revenues and, consequently, job creation, reflect the heated economy in Brazil, considering that the main market for the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM) is domestic.

“Brazil’s economy is heated. As a result, since the Manaus Free Trade Zone is focused on the domestic market, this automatically reflects here, yes. And we hope the second semester will be even better than the first,” stated Serafim Corrêa, adding that the numbers are followed with “great joy” by the state government.

Sectors and products

According to Suframa, the growth in PIM’s global revenue in the first half of this year was driven by contributions from several subsectors, especially Information Technology Goods (21.81% share), Two-Wheel Vehicles (20.12%), and Electronics (16.3%).

The period also saw growth in other sectors, such as Clothing and Footwear, which showed a 50.35% increase in revenue, and the Wood sector, which grew 33.43%.
