MANAUS (AM) – Police seized several bottles of the drug Cetamin, an anesthetic used on animals, as well as syringes and gloves on Thursday, 30, during an operation that resulted in the arrest of two relatives of the former owner of Boi Garantido, Djidja Cardoso, and the employee of a beauty salon.

Police teams from the 1st Integrated Police District (DIP) served the arrest warrant at the home of Djidja Cardoso, who was found dead on Tuesday 28th, and at the salon where she was a partner, located next to the house. Both addresses are in the Cidade Nova neighborhood, in the north of the Amazonian capital.

The operation was coordinated by the chief of the 1st DIP, Cícero Túlio. As well as the police seizing several bottles of the drug inside the house and the salon, empty boxes and glasses of the drug were also found in the garbage, as shown in the images taken by the CENARIUM MAGAZINE team.

The chemical ketamine, also written as ketamine or ketamine, is a compound used to induce and maintain anesthesia (in people and animals), and to create a trance-like state, providing pain relief and sedation. Sold commercially as Ketalar and Ketamin, for example, it is also used recreationally and can cause memory loss.

As CENARIUM MAGAZINE showed, the Amazonas Court of Justice (TJAM) ordered the preventive detention of Cleusimar Cardoso and Ademar Farias, Djidja Cardoso’s mother and brother respectively, as well as three employees of the beauty salon where Djidja was a partner, Belle Femme: Verônica da Costa Seixas, Marlisson Vasconcelos Dantas and Claudiele Santos da Silva.

Arrest

Djidja Cardoso, 32, died on Tuesday 28th. The businesswoman’s death brought to light family conflicts that, until then, had only been known about “behind the scenes”. On Facebook, businesswoman Cleomar Cardoso, Djidja Cardoso’s aunt, blamed the former niece’s mother, Cleusimar Cardoso, and employees of the Belle Femme beauty salon in Manaus for omitting help by preventing family members from hospitalizing the victim, who was chemically dependent.

“Her [Djidja Cardoso’s] house in Cidade Nova became a ‘crackland’. Every time we tried to admit Djidja, we were prevented by her mother and the gang of some employees who are part of their scheme. Her mother always told us not to interfere in their lives and that she knew what she was doing, so our hands were tied. And it’s the same there, everyone doing drugs in her house”, he said.
