MANAUS – A video shown on the Jornal de Roraima 1st edition, on the Rede Amazônica, in Roraima, shows the teenager Janielly Grigório André, 15 years old, from the Wapichana ethnic group, at the bus terminal in the center of the capital Boa Vista. The images are the last records of the young girl, who disappeared last April 23rd. Her body was found on May 10, but was only identified on Saturday, May 14.
In the images it is possible to see that Janielly, wearing a black blouse, jeans and a backpack, was interacting with three other young women. Information tells that she was in the capital of Roraima for a professionalizing course in Administration and, before disappearing, she contacted her mother informing that she was at the belvedere of the Rio Branco park, and that from there she would go to the terminal, catch a bus and go home.
The teenager didn’t come home and didn’t give any more news, so the family contacted the Civil Police. The case is being investigated by the Homicide Police.

Teenager’s death
The teenager’s body was found tied to a tree in the Santa Cecília neighborhood, Cantá municipality, more than 30 kilometers from Boa Vista. The identification was only possible through dental records, because the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition.
Due to the condition of the body and the weather, it was not possible to confirm the cause of death, which is still listed as “undetermined”.
Janielly Grigório André’s family was from the Jabuti community, in the Serra da Lua region, in the municipality of Bonfim, 124 kilometers from Boa Vista.
CENARIUM asked the Civil Police of Roraima, through the State Secretariat of Communication (Secom), about the progress of the investigation of the case and is waiting for the information.
