MANAUS – Attending the decision of Federal Judge Jaiza Fraxe, security agents of the Military Police (PM), Federal Police (PF), Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (Immu), Amazon Fire Department and guardianship counselors were on Wednesday, 16, in the camp set up by right-wing extremists in front of the Amazon Military Command (CMA), West Zone of Manaus.
The agents were looking for the irregularities described in the injunction granted on the holiday of the Proclamation of the Republic, 15, among them the theft of energy, the permanence of children on the street, even having a home, and irregular parking. Drivers who kept cars parked in the bike lanes had to remove their vehicles.
According to the director of Immu operations, Stanley Ventilari, who was on site, drivers who refuse to remove the vehicles will have their cars impounded and will be fined. Until the end of the inspection, it was still possible to notice the presence of some cars parked irregularly, including the car where the energy generator is fixed, which according to the protesters, is used to power the tents.
PUBLICIDADE
On Tuesday, 15, CENARIUM MAGAZINE was in the far-right camp and showed barbecues obstructing the pavements, cars parked in double row, rubbish accumulated in public roads and even a ‘wall’ of sound that played praises and nationalist anthems. The reportage of CENARIUM MAGAZINE was harassed by protesters who tried to prevent the registration of the press.
Since the beginning of the demonstrations, on November 2, CENARIUM MAGAZINE has been pointing out the irregularities observed at the site, but after the magistrate’s decree, on Tuesday afternoon, 15, the antidemocratic protesters removed the children, who were camped at the site, flagged by CENARIUM MAGAZINE.
The inspection lasted a little over an hour and the agents were orientating the protesters about the inspection. On the spot, the demonstrators were aggressive, they even booed the news crews and prevented other demonstrators from making statements to the press.
On the 8th, CENARIUM MAGAZINE shared images of children participating in the act. At the time, the coordinator of the West Zone Guardianship Council, Nilson Matos, claimed not to have been informed about the conditions of the place where children are being held in the demonstration.
He also said it is necessary to hold a meeting with all coordinators, all zones, since, according to him, although the protests are in the West Zone, “is something that is mobilizing all Manaus”.
