MANAUS – Since losing the election to the candidate elected, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) has shown reclusion and few public appearances. On Tuesday, 20, the head of the Executive followed the ceremony of lowering the flag, at the Alvorada Palace (DF), which lasted about ten minutes, and remained silent, without interacting with supporters as he usually did.

Among the few people with whom Bolsonaro talked in this period, after losing the election, was Silas Malafaia. According to information from Metrópoles, the president and the pastor last spoke on November 1, 48 hours after the polls consecrated Lula’s victory.

While talking to Malafaia, Bolsonaro asked the pastor what his stance should be regarding the demonstrations against the results of the polls held throughout the Brazilian territory. The pastor had advised Bolsonaro to ask for the release of the highways, but reaffirmed the legitimate right of the demonstrations, which in fact the future ex-president did in a quick statement on November 2.

Silas Malafaia tried new contacts with Bolsonaro, but without success. It is already 50 days that the religious leader and the future ex-president do not speak.

Holidays in the Northeast

Pastor Silas Malafaia took a holiday in November, right after the elections, to relax at a resort in Pernambuco and became the target of criticism among internet users who charged him about the protesters in front of barracks across the country.

In his profile on the social network Twitter, Malafaia published a photo accompanied by his wife, Elizete Malafaia, celebrating the birthday of his brother-in-law, Pastor Ozeias Santos. In the caption, the leader of the Assembly of God Victory in Christ rejected critical comments from those who accused him of “hypocrisy”.
