Luxury vehicles and assets of businessmen are blocked in the second phase of ‘Operation Fair Play’

MANAUS – The Federal Police (PF) opened on the morning of Friday, 21, the 2nd phase of the “Operation Fair Play”, unfolding investigations that aim to suppress crimes against the National Financial System, against the popular economy, money laundering and criminal organization, practiced by business group with operations in Manaus and in three other states of the Federation.

Are being fulfilled two court orders of search and seizure in the capital of Amazonas, besides the unavailability of assets of the investigated and the confiscation of two luxury vehicles estimated at R$ 900 thousand.

After the first phase of the operation, on the 14th, it was possible to identify that the leaders of the organization used a fake company, with the specific purpose of concealing assets and laundering money resulting from the financial scheme.

In order to do so, the investigated counted with the participation of an individual appointed as a hidden partner of this company, who, although without effective activity, has vast assets, especially luxury vehicles that were not identified until then.

Similarly, it was discovered that, on the eve of the deflagration of the 1st phase of the operation, more than half a million reais were withdrawn by a company employee, possibly with the objective of removing from circulation the amounts from the financial scheme under investigation.
