MANAUS – The first day of opening sales of tickets for the 56th Folk Festival Parintins was marked by misunderstandings, confusion and the participation of agents of Procon-AM and the Military Police of Amazonas (PM-AM). All because, according to consumers, there was a problem in the system that provided online access for the sale of passports, forcing them to go to the headquarters of Amazon Best, located at Nova Prata Street, No. 225, Conjunto Vieiralves, Nossa Senhora das Graças.

With the displacement of customers, a line was formed, and with rainy weather and slowness, tempers became heated. “It was crowded, the biggest confusion, and they informed us that there were double seats, both on the website and in the store. Then the system crashed in both and they decided to stop and continue when it is reestablished,” said José Maria Monteiro, a lawyer. Tired of waiting, he left: “I left my data there for them to contact me and I left”, he declared.

The composer João Medeiros reported the same problem: “The customer bought a seat on the site and another person who was in the physical store could also buy the same seat, that is, duplicate sales with a huge error in the system,” he described. “To make matters worse, the system started to crash and the waiting time became enormous. They said that tomorrow everything will be solved, but, I don’t believe this because, today, it was already chaos, tomorrow it will be three times worse”, he predicted with dismay.

System failure

In a note, Amazon Best informed about the failure: “We also inform that technical problems in the ticketing system put the site on air before the schedule, which generated inconsistency in some information. And added to the unofficial disclosure caused many people to come to Amazon Best on Wednesday afternoon, 25, to purchase their passports, which generated a great uproar and misinformation on social networks”, says the excerpt of the statement.

In another section, the company advises to verify the completion of the transaction: “Given the incident, we created a priority service mechanism for these people, and during this week we will be contacting. For those who, due to the breakdown, were able to purchase their passports via the site, we ask that they verify with their card operator whether the sale was, in fact, completed,” he informed.

Sought by CENARIUM MAGAZINE, the Procon-AM, via advisory, reported: “We are awaiting the analysis of the inspection to, then, we pronounce. Amazon Best is having problems in their sales system, this is the preliminary analysis, so they can not sell until the stabilization of the site,” reported the advisory.
