Mato Grosso has 100% of ICU beds occupied for Covid-19

MANAUS – The State Department of Health of Mato Grosso (SES-MT) reported on Monday, 26, that all Covid-19 ICU beds were occupied. The State has 38 adult beds in the state network and the complete data are in the folder’s Covid-19 Panel, last updated around 1 pm this Monday.
There are 20 vacancies in the Metropolitan Hospital, in Várzea Grande, eight kilometres from the capital Cuiabá, and 18 in the Regional Hospital Hilda Strenger Ribeiro, in Nova Mutum, 259 kilometres away. There was one child hospitalization, according to the SES Panel, in the five vacancies available in the state.

The folder said it notified the municipalities to proceed with the opening of beds and implement measures to reduce the transmission of the virus. According to the epidemiological panel, the confirmed cases in the state, since the beginning of the pandemic, are in 856,153, with 15,296 deaths.
At the beginning of the month, the State Department of Health notified the 141 municipalities in Mato Grosso about the increase in cases of Covid-19 infection. The document also requested the municipal administrations to provide information on measures to reduce the transmission of the virus in each municipality.
During the period of notification, Mato Grosso registered 4,458 new cases and 10 deaths from the disease. In 14 days of November, 567 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, which represents an incidence of 16.27 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.
